LED lights

LED lights contain valuable materials and must be recycled properly. You can find recycling centers and collection points all over the country that will take your LED lights free of charge.

Lamps that may not be disposed of with regular household waste have been labeled with the “crossed-out garbage can” since March 24, 2006.

Light bulbs and halogen lamps

Light bulbs and halogen lamps are not recycled as their components do not require it. We therefore can and must dispose of them with regular waste. Halogen lamps contain tiny quantities of halogens that do not influence the way they are disposed of.

Light bulbs and halogen lamps must not be placed in glass recycling containers! Light bulbs are not intended for separate collection!

Glass used for bottles and glasses is different to that which is used for lamps and light bulbs. Because of this, any lamps that are incorrectly placed in glass recycling containers cause significant problems during the recycling process.

Light bulbs and halogen lamps must be disposed of with regular household waste.
